The Hikers
We are mountain enthusiasts, crazy in love with our Apennines and everything it has to offer. Outdoor activities are our daily bread. We have learned to know every glimpse, secret and corner of the paths and we love to share it with as many people as possible. Having fun and transmitting the passion we have.
Giacomo Battaglia
One of the creators and founders of Appennino Hikers as well as secretary, known everywhere by his nickname CICUTA, has spent the last 20 years above 1500 m above sea level. , in the winter he had a refuge, and in the summer he worked as an INSTRUCTOR/RESCUER at the Ninfa adventure park, now he dedicates himself full time to the association's outdoor activities.
In the summer he prefers the E-MTB for which he is a NATIONAL ENDAS INSTRUCTOR, even if he often wears boots for winter excursions or snowshoeing in his beloved Apennines, (TREKKING INSTRUCTOR).
He recently successfully completed the long journey by obtaining the coveted recognition of EXPERT INSTRUCTOR OF BUSCHCRAFT AND SURVIVAL ENDAS.
Great talker and a lot
He is often in company with his inseparable Labrador Bear Brownie, mascot of Appennino Hikers.
Harry Ray Williams
Another founder of the association and directly from New Mexico is our President (appointed to this position because he is American and cool) and has always been a DOC Sestolese.
Mountain expert, in winter he loves to surf the snow especially if fresh, he has been a FEDERAL SNOWBOARD TEACHER and COACH since 2000, in summer he worked for several years as a builder and INSTRUCTOR/RESCUER of adventure parks, but the attraction for MTB is too much in fact he dedicates himself full time and is an INSTRUCTOR.
Passionate about world travel with backpack on shoulder and camera in hand, he naturally speaks perfect English, making all his colleagues/friends envious.
Alberto Biolchini
Alberto, SKI INSTRUCTOR, ENVIRONMENTAL HIKING GUIDE, INSTRUCTOR and RESCUER of tree climbing at adventure parks and passionate about all the activities that the mountains can offer, so much so
he immediately joined the Appennino Hikers team.
He lives in Sestola, in the heart of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, where in addition to his passions he carries out the management of Biolchini Sport together with his family, a true point of reference for mountain and outdoor lovers.
Conveying his passion for nature and the sports that can be practiced in close contact with it is one of his goals, as well as one of ours!
Alessandro rApi
Called the salsa dancer, once
went from one dance floor to another between
non-stop salsa and bachata, spending the morning between one cocktail and another.
Always passionate about sporting activities and outdoors, he decided to do things in a more serious way, first becoming a POWER PUMP INSTRUCTOR and later a personal trainer, his passion then increased by deciding to specialize in some subjects such as Nutrition and functional recovery.
Not satisfied, he became passionate about massages, taking part in courses regarding sports and myofascial massage.
Despite his commitments, he always tries to escape to the ballroom while sipping a good gin and tonic.
Fabio Benincasa
Always passionate about the mountains, he is a mountaineer and "high altitude hiker" with several climbs under his belt. By many he is defined as "the wild one" due to his strong attraction towards wild nature.
He spends most of his free time in the woods to refine the techniques that characterize life in these places. A training course lasting several years led him to obtain the qualification of "EXPERT BUSCHCRAFT AND SURVIVAL INSTRUCTOR" with ENDAS
Marco Rioli
Marco is the kind of person you can define as a "subject"; someone who has to choose between an adventure or the couch.
Does it tell you what the sofa is?
It's always outdoors whether it's mountains, hills, countryside or a stream to go up to fish for trout and if you look for it you'll find it there.
Like a cat, he is always out and about looking for something exciting to do, he knows the trees and herbs well and you never know can be useful to him, for him being outdoors is a lifestyle. This lifestyle has led him for years to the path of survival and to obtain with ENDAS the qualification of EXPERT BUSCHCRAFT AND SURVIVAL INSTRUCTOR
